Website Design and Hosting Terms of Service

Laymon Designs takes available measures to develop projects according to current standards, using up to date software and programs, and will provide backups of the site that we develop. In the case of sites developed with a content management system, such as WordPress, Laymon Designs installs standard security tools to prevent security breaches. Upon completion of the site, Laymon Designs will provide, you, the website owner, with login credentials for your site and hosting account. At this point, you become the site owner, and it is the responsibility of the site owner to make sure all tools are up to date and all security measures remain up to date and in place.

Laymon Designs does not own our own servers, but in most cases will use third party services, such as HostGator, GoDaddy, or Big Commerce to host websites. Laymon Designs does not make any claims or guarantees as to the quality or reliability of third party services.

Website hacking is an evolving process, with hackers developing new methods of infiltrating websites. Once a website is complete, Laymon Designs takes no responsibility for future breaches or security vulnerabilities.

In the event of a security breach or hacking attempt, Laymon Designs may be hired to restore your site to a previous backup, if available, for a nominal fee. In extreme cases, or if a backup is not available, the site may need to be rebuilt from scratch. Laymon Designs offers no warranty to restore or rebuild a website due to hack, server crash, or any other unforeseen technical error.
